Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) is a hormone produced by cells in the ovarian follicles. An AMH blood test is commonly used as one part of an evaluation of ovarian reserve, which refers to the number of eggs remaining in the ovaries.

AMH can provide useful information about ovarian reserve and how the ovaries may respond to fertility medications, but it does not directly measure egg quality or predict whether someone will become pregnant.
